The Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT) programme is aimed to teach students to become professional occupational therapists. They help patients overcome mental and physical disabilities so that they could fully participate and contribute positively as able members of society. The programme in particular focuses on environmental, socio-cultural, cognitive, psychological, physical and emotional aspects of injuries and illness.

Occupational therapists help people across their lives to do things they want to and need to do through the therapeutic use of daily activities/occupations. Occupational therapy practitioners enable people to live life to its fullest by helping them in staying fit, and avoid injury, illness, or any kind of physical and mental disability. Common occupational therapy practices include helping children with disabilities, commonly known as Divyang children, to participate fully in school, helping people recover from injury, and providing support for elderly people.
