Courses in Collaboration with MSME

Ministry of Agro and Rural Industries and Ministry of Small Scale Industries have been merged into a single Ministry, namely, “MINISTRY OF MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES” to direct and govern the establishment, registration and functioning of MSMEs.

As per the report of Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India; MSME sector is serving numerous benefits towards the inclusive growth of Indian economy. Major contribution of MSMEs is as follows:

  • It provides opportunities at comparatively lower cost.
  • It helps in industrialization of rural and backward areas.
  • Reduce Regional imbalances through the optimum utilization of their resources.
  • More equitable distribution of national income and wealth.
  • Major partner in the process of inclusive growth.

The Micro Small and Medium Enterprises have been defined under MSME Act, 2006. According to the Act, MSME have been broadly classified in two categories:

  • Enterprises engaged in the manufacturing and production of goods pertaining to any industry.
  • Enterprises engaged in providing or rendering services.

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) contribute nearly 8 percent of the country’s GDP, 45 percent of the manufacturing output and 40 percent of the exports. They provide the largest share of employment after agriculture. They are the nurseries for entrepreneurship and innovation. They are widely dispersed across the country and produce a diverse range of products and services to meet the needs of the local markets, the global market and the national and international value chains.

MSME is also engaged in promotion of self-employment which involves providing the willing entrepreneurs income generating asset through which the revenues will accrue. Besides, such ventures do create employment for skilled manpower. With this end in view, MSME has entered into collaboration with Sanskriti University to identify areas of cooperation leading to self employment in different sectors such as agriculture, industry and services.

MSME has excellent infra structure in the field of Automation and Manufacturing and decided to utilize in-house treasure of knowledge in this field. This joint approach in the field of education will help students to utilize and grasp the available opportunities.

As a preliminary step, University has already established 1) Centre of Excellence for Automation and Robotics, 2) Centre of Excellence for CNC, 3) Centre of Excellence for Ecological Farming in collaboration with MSME, Agra through which several courses are being conducted at regular intervals to enrich the knowledge of students.

Recently University has established Agro based Entrepreneurship Cell in the month of January 2019.
