Diploma in Agriculture Engineering

Agricultural Engineering plays a crucial role in increasing productivity of agricultural crops and thereby increasing the production in a farm. Agricultural Engineering professionals have to play a major role in ensuring timeliness of farming procedures, use of proper machinery as well as land and water management activities. Other activities include post-harvest processing etc.

The objective of this three year diploma is to provide educated and trained manpower for the agribusiness industry as well as Government departments, NGOs and auxiliary industry such as the agro-Engineering industry.

In this programme, students get an opportunity to apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, agricultural science as well as basic Engineering to analyze Engineering related problems in agriculture. This includes a vast scope including soil and water conservation Engineering, farm machinery, renewable sources of power, irrigation Engineering and even food Engineering.
