Electrical Engineering is a core branch of engineering which is always recognized as an ever-green branch.
Application of electricity is entwined in all forms of activity in the society. We cannot even dream of living without use of electricity in various forms. Enrichment of quality of life is never possible without application of electricity.
Electrical Engineering coursecovers the necessary input required in theoretical and practical terms to learn about the flow of electrons; operation of AC and DC motors; dealing with high voltage transmission and distribution of power; operation of electric machines, generators, transformers; safety and control of electric gadgets etc.
The laboratory of Electrical Engineering department at Sanskriti University is well equipped with motors of different types, tools for measurement of voltage, resistance etc. and various other instruments for conducting experiments so that the students can learn about practical applications.
Electrical Engineering : The department has the following labs:- Power Electronics Lab / Control Lab / Measurement Lab / Network Lab / Power System Lab / Instrumentation Lab
Upon completion of the Electrical Engineering programme, students will be able to Use current techniques, skills and modern engineering tools necessary for solving electrical engineering problems. They can conduct standardized field and laboratory testing in electrical and electronics engineering domain. He/she will function on multidisciplinary teams, working cooperatively, respectfully, creatively, and responsibly as a member of a team.
They may Design and develop electrical systems fulfilling desired needs and satisfying practical constraints. They will Understand professional and ethical responsibilities in electrical and electronics engineering practice, Communicate effectively by oral, written, and graphical means. Understand and analyze the impact of electrical and electronics engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context. Recognize the need to engage in lifelong learning. And Perform economic analyses and cost estimates related to design, construction, operations and maintenance of systems in the electrical and electronics engineering domain. Opportunities exist in various areas of electrical systems & components design, manufacturing and maintenance. Electrical power generation, automotive and control industries, mining and allied industries, chemical industry and instrumentation and software industries are some of the areas with employment potential.
