World Disabilities day held on 2nd DEC, 2016

International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3) is an international observance promoted by the United Nations since 1992. It has been celebrated with varying degrees of success around the planet. On the eve of World Disabilities Day (2nd December 2016), students of Sanskriti School of Rehabilitation performed a Cultural Programme in the School Auditorium. There was a symphony of light and sound and the Differently abled students were highly enthusiastic to show their talents in front of very distinguished guests, fellow students, parents and their family members.

The programme was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Mr. Shyam Sunder Iknoria, District Handicapped Development Officer (District Disabled Welfare Officer) with lighting of the lamp which was followed by series of dances by differently abled students. The boys performed a group dance "Bande Matram" which was well applauded by the gathering. This was followed by a patriotic skit on freedom movement. The girls danced "Diwani-mastani" which was marvelous in all respects.

Mr. Shyam Sundar Iknoria, Chief Guest stressed that every person must have a dream to be successful in life and for that one should nurture the dream with passion, compassion and spiritual emotion.

Shri Sachin Gupta, Chancellor, Sanskriti University in his inspiring speech reiterated that Divyang Children are going to play very important role in future in Society as well as for the Nation Shri. Rajesh Gupta, Pro-Chancellor, Sanskriti University, expressed that he was very happy to see that such large number of Divyang students participated in programme. He thanked the parents for attending the Programme and for upbringing the students to contribute towards overall development of such children in building of nation.

Executive Director of University, Prof. P.C. Chhabra mentioned that such an effort should not be a stray event rather it should be a continuous activity.

At the end, Ms. Akshima Head of the Department of Sanskriti School of Rehabilitation, Sanskriti University presented a memento to Chief Guest as a mark of remembrance and concluded the programme by Vote of Thanks to all concerned.
