Sanskriti University celebrated Dandiya Night on the eve of Navratri at its campus at Chhata, Mathura. The fun and frolic event of Dandiya Night commenced in the presence of around three hundred students at around 6:00 pm in the evening of 28th September 2017 with the lighting of lamp by Executive Director, Prof. P.C. Chhabra, OSD, Mrs. Meenakshi Sharma, Vice chancellor, Dr. Devendra Pathak and Associate Dean, Dr Sanjeev Kumar.

Boys and girls, dressed up in traditional attire celebrated the event with fervor and danced to the tunes of Hindi, Gujarati and Punjabi songs. Even after hours of dancing, there was no drop in the energy levels or even the decibel level of excitement of crowd. Students from international background had a gala time as well.

As the evening progressed, more students filled into central lawn to join the celebration. The delightful sight of energetic light-footed young boys and girls swirling in graceful rhythmic Garba and enthusiastically playing dandiya evoked admiration among all present there. Traditional Garba music, Dandiya numbers along with some peppy Bollywood songs kept everyone glued to dance floor all throughout the evening till the very end of the event.

The event proved effective, as in the end, everyone left with a big smile on their face.
