Sanskriti Group organized an International Seminar on 'Importance of Emotional Intelligence & Spiritual Intelligence to become Good Leaders'

The Chairman of Regensys Business School, Dr. Marko Sarvanja, conducted an international seminar on a very important topic 'Importance of Emotional Intelligence & Spiritual Intelligence to become Good Leaders' at Sanskriti campus, Chhata, Mathura on 04.2.2016.

The seminar was a part of series of national and international seminars planned for the year 2016. In-fact Sanskriti Group is conducting such seminars on regular basis for providing an exposure to the students as a part of co-curricular activities that complements the academic rigors as per university syllabi.

The key note speaker was Dr. Marko Sarvanja, Chairman, Regensys Business School, Johannesburg (South Africa). He is an eminent speaker on leadership and spirituality.

While speaking on the topic, Dr. Marko explained the rationale and relevance of the topic for the benefit of management students across the globe in the era of globalization. He explained to the students the importance of leadership in the 21st century when the organizations / corporates all over the world have been indulging in corporate restructuring and making the organization structure lean and thin with greater responsibility and accountability to the leaders. He said that the leaders in the contemporary world play critical roles in shaping the business prospects of the organizations as they guide the human resource at their disposal. The significance of human resource is that it is the prime mover of all resources - material, machine, money etc.

He also explained that technical intelligence is not enough for leaders to perform at their best. He mentioned that research conducted on traits of leadership vis-a-vis performance and said that the findings revealed that technical intelligence contributes only 33% towards success of leaders while 67% depends on emotional, spiritual and other forms of intelligence.

Regarding emotional intelligence, he explained that there are 4 sets of ability - perceiving, using, understanding and managing of emotions that lead to success of business. He elaborated all these abilities.

On spiritual intelligence, he spoke about self-actualization consistent with non-religious, diversity acceptance form of leadership with focus on values. He said that every person must have a dream to be successful and for that one should follow the path of spiritual intelligence with passion and compassion.

Mr. Sachin Gupta, Chairman, Sanskriti Group, said that the topic is of national importance as the success of the corporate sector depends, to a large extent, upon the efficiency of the leaders who can carry the team effectively to create an impact leading to the growth of economic prosperity.

He thanked the speaker for the valuable inputs on education that will energize the youth attending the seminar and motivate them to contribute towards overall development of the nation Executive Director of the Group, Prof. P.C. At the end of the session, Chairman of Sanskriti Group, Mr. Sachin Gupta presented a memento to Dr. Sarvanja as a mark of remembrance.
