Faculty Development Workshop Organized in Sanskriti University

Mathura. With changing times, the dimensions and perspectives of education are also changing rapidly. In such a situation, we must understand about the changing dimensions and perspectives of the environment as well as the changing expectations of the youth of new generation. Sachin Gupta, Chancellor of Sanskriti University spoke to the faculty members while addressing them in the Faculty Development Workshop and mentioned that the younger generation of modern times need outcome based education, and hence, we should explain them in detail about the best practices being pursued in the field of technical education in the world to improve the quality of technical education.

Shri Gupta mentioned that education transforms our underlying powers into knowledge. Education itself makes us intellectually capable and technically efficient. It is also important to develop human values in knowledge along with knowledge. He emphasizedthe inclusion of innovation in the changing scenario of education. It is also necessary to develop the academic delivery model according to the local demand and requirements in the education system. The role of education is to produce world class professionals with strong human and ethical values along with the knowledge about the local culture.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Rana Singh said that the holistic education transforms the personality of the student and leads the students to stronger values and evolution of human powers apart from the development of Knowledge, skills and competencies. The culture of Indian culture is oriented towards unity and integrity. While making changes in educational and curricular practices, we should not ignore our culture. In real life scenario, we should develop professionally qualified humane managers who can think of the welfare of the society and the nation together. Referring to the discussions held by Vice Chancellor Dr. Singh in the meeting of the VCs held in Delhi by the HRD Ministry last week, he said that special emphasis was laid by the Hon'ble HRD Minister on Research, Innovation and skill development. We are happy to mention that Sanskriti University is already making concerted efforts in theseareas.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr. Abhay Kumar while addressing the faculty members said that the resultant improvement in education system is the demand of time. Our responsibility is to make the younger generation aware of life values, rituals, and give them an understanding of positive thinking so that they become part of the competition with a healthy mentality. Executive Director P.C. Chhabra said that Indian education system and lifestyle are capable of maintaining harmony between old and new values. Efforts are being made at different levels to improve the quality of technical education in Sanskriti university, in which implementation of the outcome based education system is an important initiative. Dr. Nirmal Kundu, HOD of Management Department thanked the Chancellor, Shri Sachin Gupta for contributions and creation of new opportunities for development and creating conducive environment in the University.
