Sanskriti University enlightened the Kashmiri youth about career options

Mathura. A person who understands his mistake and is willing to correct the mistake by taking required corrective actions may not necessary be called a wrong-doer. Sanskriti University has undertaken a special initiative to drive the Kashmiri youth to shun militancy and have been attracted to shape their careers by enhancing their life skills. Alexander Gavin Paul - HOD of Life Skills conducted career awareness and career counseling seminars in 5 government colleges and enlightened them with the roadmap to shape their careers for a bright future.

Sanskriti University firmly believes that if the youth of Jammu and Kashmir is oriented towards shaping their careers, the menace of militancy can be eliminated from the roots. The biggest challenge in front of the Kashmiri Youth is of unemployment. The students get carried away by the allurement of easy money and take the path of militancy due to high level of unemployment. The increasing interests of the youngsters in the various career counseling and career awareness seminars is strengthening the belief of faculty members at Sanskriti University that the youth in Kashmir are committed to shape their careers by completing their higher and technical education to become competent professionals and to become self-reliant.

Mr. Gavin Alexander Paul expressed his views after investing his time for over a fortnight and said that the youth of Kashmir want to shun the path of militancy and join the mainstream by pursuing the right programmes in higher and technical education. Mr. Paul in his special sessions on career opportunities provided exhaustive details about Electrical and Computer Engineering at Government Polytechnic College - Reasi, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering at Government Polytechnic College - Kathua, Civil and Automobile Engineering at Government Polytechnic College - Samba, Automobile and Civil Engineering at Government Polytechnic College - Udhampur and Computer, Electrical, Civil Engineering etc. at Government Women’s Polytechnic - Jammu. Mr. Paul made a humble appeal to the youngsters of Jammu region to bring some change in their habits and lifestyle with a focus on skill oriented education for bright career opportunities.
