The integrated B.Com. LLB (Hons) programme is focused on various facets of law in an economic context. This programme aims to accomplish this goal by combining the knowledge of economic sciences, including subjects like Accounts, Finance & Economics, and law. Together, they provide a broad-based multidisciplinary foundation to the curriculum.

This programme combines sophisticated legal content and commercial and regulatory aspects. The focus of the curriculum is in delivering highly relevant legal knowledge set in a commercial and regulatory context. Therefore, the faculty of School of Law has deliberately kept a mix of law academics and leading practitioners as faculty members. Distinguished lawyers, judges and legal consultants are envisaged to interact regularly with the pedagogy as well as the students via guest lectures etc.

The complexities of our legal system have created hundreds of legal career options that serve a variety of core and non-core legal functions. From lawyers, judges, and mediators to paralegals, secretaries, and consultants, the legal professional’s role is expanding and evolving to keep pace with the ever-changing legal system. In the last several years, the legal profession has experienced staggering growth. A steady rise in profits and revenues expanded headcounts and significant salary increases have provided plenty of job opportunities in a broad range of legal positions.

Objectives of the programme include developing a strong foundation in business law and to provide students the full depth and breadth of the subjects to build a strong base for professional practice. To develop intellectual thought process of the student which are valuable in the practice of Law and associated careers.

Law graduates are groomed to become self-confident, knowledgeable, highly analytical and expressive to be able to contribute to the profession of law as well as the society in general.

A typical student at the end of the programme will develop a deep understanding of law from a number of different standpoints. They will also be able to apply law in managerial practice. They will develop the ability to analyze and articulate (written or verbal) on the subject.
