Program Overview

This four-year undergraduate B.Tech program in Computer Science Engineering (Industry 5.0 Oriented) will prepare students for the next phase of industrial and technological advancement. Industry 5.0 looks beyond just automation and digitisation to the human-machine partnership needed to create a more resilient, sustainable, and human-centric world. The course incorporates core computer science skills with human-machine interaction, cyber-physical systems, green computing and innovation principles throughout the entire syllabus.

About Industry 5.0

Industry 5.0 is the emerging stage built on the digital automation of Industry 4.0, and which aims to place human well-being, sustainability and societal value at the center of the technological progress. It comprises the responsible use of AI, cobots (collaborative robots), personalization of manufacturing and the use of green technology. This course is one of the very few in India, and this program aims to develop students on Industry 5.0 in terms of their curriculum throughout, to turn them into technically equipped but also responsible and future-ready engineers.

What you will learn

The course will cover data structures and algorithms, object oriented programming, operating systems, computer networks, databases and their management, software engineering and cyber security. The Industry 5.0 related modules include Human Robot interaction and collaboration, AI ethics and responsible computing, green software engineering, cyber physical systems, green data centers, the internet of things, edge computing, digital twins and the design of smart systems. Students will also get an opportunity to carry out industry-linked capstone projects and research works in their final year of the program.
