Overview of the Program

Optometry is the science of dealing with issues and problems related to the eye. A course in Optometry covers every aspect related to understanding the eye, problems, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of illnesses and diseases, etc.

During the programme, students gain detailed knowledge of subjects such as ocular anatomy, physiology, visual optics, contact lenses, refraction, low vision care, and eye diseases. After completing 10+2 with physics, chemistry, and biology, students can apply for this programme. Students receive practical training in hospitals, eye clinics and vision care centres where they learn to handle advanced diagnostic equipment and interact with patients.
