Young Generation should adopt the ideologies of Swami Vivekananda: Dr. Rana Singh

Sanskriti University: National Youth Day was celebrated amidst various competitions including Drama and Quiz.

Mathura. The Students celebrated the National Youth Day with lot of enthusiasm along with the message of arise, awake and stop not the goal is achieved in the memory of legendry and inspiring social reformer and nation builder Shri Swami Vivekananda. On this occasion, the students displayed their intellectual strength in the Quiz competition and exhibited the finer aspects of the life of Swami Vivekananda by performing a small skit. The programme was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Dr. Rana Singh, Dean Dr. Kalyan Kumar, Dean –Students Welfare Dr. O.P. Jasuja, Dr. Saloni Shrivastav, Dr. Ashwani Kumar Singh, Dr. Zohaib, etc. by offering the flowers to Lordess Saraswati after Saraswati Vandana by the students.

The programme was addressed by Dr. Rana Singh who said that the future of the country is entirely dependent on its youth. The responsibility of developing the country lies with the youngsters of the economy. India is a country with large population of youth and the youngsters should take a vow to understand and adopt the path shown by Swami Vivekananda. Vice Chancellor Dr. Rana Singh said that the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda are dynamic and charismatic which can fill the youngsters with new levels of energy and break into their hearts. The thoughts of Swami Vivekananda have the potential to imbibe and transmit new energy and positivity in the youngsters.

The young generation is increasing at a rapid pace and India is becoming one of the many countries having large amount of youth population in the world. The energy of the country is intertwined with the energy of the youth of the country. Swami Vivekananda is no more with us but he is still alive as an everlasting source of inspiration for all the youngsters of the country. The legendry personality Swami Vivekananda and his preaching to the youth to leave the shlokas of Geeta and to go to the field shall always remain relevant. Vice Chancellor Dr. Rana Singh said that one book, one pen, one child and one teacher can change the whole world. He made an appeal to all the students to get inspired by the achievements and preaching of Swami Vivekananda and work with concerted efforts towards the development of the nation.

Dean - Dr. Kalyan Kumar on the occasion of National Youth Day addressed the students and said that Swami Vivekananda worked on regaining the lost glory to Hinduism and also focused on taking the Indian culture and tradition to new heights at the international level. The journey from Narendra to Swami Vivekananda was an integrated outcome of his curiosities regarding the world and the God. Dr. Saloni Srivastava and Dr. Sohail also shared in detail about the life and philosophy of Swami Vivekananda. Anu Gautam recited a nice poem mentioning the achievements of Swami Vivekananda. On this occasion a quiz was organized on the life history of Swami Vivekananda in which Abhishek Kumar won the first prize, Kanhaiya won the second prize and Sapna won the third prize. Dr. D.K. Sharma praised the excellent performances made and delivered by the students with an open heart. On this occasion Dean Students Welfare Dr. O.P. Jasuja gave the award to the students. The program was planned and managed by Pravesh Kumari and Shubham Maheshwari.
