Sanskriti University signs MOU with ICAR-NBPGR

New Delhi. Sanskriti University has signed MOU with Indian Council of Agricultural Research - National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (ICAR-NBPGR) to further the cause of academic excellence and research. This MOU is yet another feather in the cap in the series of MOUs signed by various national and international Universities and organizations.

The students of School of Agriculture will now be able to pursue their internship at National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (NBPGR) which is affiliated institute of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). This will further the cause of research at Sanskriti University and NBPGR.

Sanskriti University is committed to the cause of Research and Innovation in various areas of academics, research, R&D, publications, patents, incubation and commercialization. This MOU will facilitate the students of B.Tech/B.Sc./M.Sc./BAMS to pursue their internship programme in world class infrastructure of ICAR-NBPGR under the joint and/or collaborative guidance of Scientists / Experts / Academicians from NBPGR and School of Agriculture of Sanskriti University.

The Internship at ICAR-NBPGR will provide a catalytic boost to the knowledge, skills and competencies of the students pursuing various relevant programmes as also to the faculty members teaching the various programmes. The MOU shall pave the way for some path breaking collaborative research papers.

Chancellor Sachin Gupta expressed his happiness after the signature of the MOU and said that Sanskriti University will be committed to set new benchmarks of excellence in the domain of agricultural research. He said that the students will now be able to pursue focused research under the guidance of world class Scientists / Scholars and Academicians at ICAR-NBPGR which will enhance their employability and will make them globally employable at competitive salaries.

Pro-Chancellor Rajesh Gupta congratulated the senior management of Sanskriti University and said that the spirit of research should be carried on by all the internal and external stakeholders of the University. He said that cutting edge research by students and faculty members is going to be biggest the differentiating factors between the leading universities and rest of the institutions of higher learning. He extended his best wishes to the students and teaching fraternity of the University with a message to one and all to focus on research with highest degree of commitment.

Pro OSD Meenakshi Sharma said that the students of school of agriculture and other schools will get world class exposure in a world class environment under the guidance of leading academicians and scientists. This will make them thoroughly prepared to take up the real life challenges of the work place in the domain of agriculture right from the day one. The students will be preparing well-structured dissertation and thesis and the same shall be submitted to Sanskriti University as well as to ICAR-NBPGR.

ED Professor PC Chhabra expressed his joy after the signing of MOU and said that the students will be able to conduct various empirical and exploratory research in the practical settings with the various leading researchers and practitioners at ICAR-NBPGR which will enhance the employability of the students in India and abroad after passing from Sanskriti University.

Vice Chancellor Professor (Dr.) Rana Singh expressed his happiness and said that the students will get the opportunity to leverage the world class Research instrumentation facility and library facilities of ICAR-NBPGR. The MOU will pave the way for exchange of students for academic, research and training purposes between Sanskriti University and ICAR-NBPGR.

Pro Vice Chancellor Professor (Dr.) Abhay Kumar mentioned his views and said that the latest MOU with ICAR-NBPGR will take the School of Agriculture to the next orbit of excellence and give a quantum fillip to the overall research and development initiatives of Sanskriti University.
