Two Days FDP on Instructional Technology 19-20 August 2016

On the onset of Academic Year 2016-17, Sanskriti organized a Faculty Development Programme on INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMME on 19-20 August 16 for the newly appointed faculties with a view to ensure that they take-off fully prepared in right mode and direction with their students.

In order to achieve this noble objective Sanskriti selected and invited a well known personality in the field of Education and Communication - Shri B. Kumar, Professor (Agril. Communication) from G.B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, (Uttarakhand).

Shri B. Kumar was warmly welcomed by Sanskriti's Vice-Chancellor Dr. S.P Mishra, Dr. S.C. Gupta Dean, Dr. Kalyan Kumar Director (Mngt), Dr. I.K Pandey Director(Polytechnic) & Brig (Retd) R.K. Gupta Director (HR & Admin).

Shri B.kumar has 37 years of work experience to his credit, of which over six years at Senior Academic Management position as DEAN, College of Agri Business Management Pantnagar. Prof. & Head Agricultural Communication at G.B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, (Uttarakhand). He has been Visiting Professor at Alemaya University (Now Harmaya University) Ethiopia. Key areas of his competence include-Trainers' skill, Soft skills, Public Speaking, Trainers' Training/Communication skills/Qualitative Research etc. He guided Doctoral & Masters Theses on Communication, training & Development themes.

During the Faculty Development Programme Prof. B.Kumar emphasized how important is to ensure effective communication among the students with various levels of intelligence, capabilities and interest-right from the time of entry into the class room and then throughout the session. He very aptly brought home the vital importance of Ice breaking. He made remarkably effective use of audio-visual aids. Finally, every faculty member was asked to come to the dais and speak-audience faculties highlighted strong and weak points of each teacher. His teaching and communication techniques further boosted the confidence and enthusiasm among the newly joined teaching faculties.

Considering the enhanced confidence and motivational change among teaching faculties, Sanskriti plans to organize such useful eminent speakers for the overall benefit of its students.
