Three Days Faculty Orientation Programme in Sanskriti University

Sankriti University organized three days Faculty Orientation Programme for newly joined as well as existing faculty members. Mr. Sachin Gupta, Chancellor and Dr. Devendra Pathak, Vice Chancellor motivated the faculty members with their inspirational thoughts.

First day of the programme started with honoring Mr. Sathish Kaushik, President- Rajbala Foundation, with a memento. Ace psychologist Mr. Kaushik said that for the successful transfer of knowledge, both teachers and students need to be mentally stressed free. All the aspects of teaching i.e. purpose, curriculum, evaluation, discipline etc. cannot be effectively imposed without the knowledge of psychology. Knowledge can only be achieved if the students' mind is absorbent enough to soak it all. This requires appropriate mental preparation.

Prof. Chhabra, Executive Director, mentioned that improving life skills can enhance the process of self learning. He further added that the aim is to provide appropriate teaching-learning environment. This happens only when teachers become the mentors for students who can guide the students to be self motivated, well-informed and be undeterred of difficulties. The university has set up a mentoring committee that works to become students' path-finders and motivate them to excel in all aspects of life.

Mr. Saibal Chatterjee, Marketing General Manager expressed that the career of a student starts with admission in an institution and then comes the helping hand of the faculty who nurture and realize his dream. He further added that a good institution can direct the student's life towards his mission.

Dr. Pathak assured that the faculty members have been acquainted with their responsibilities and days have been assigned to work for the betterment of educational environment. Along with it, at least of 40 hours in every week have been assigned for course preparation which will include more workshops and other means to judge the progress of the students.

Mr. Sachin Gupta, Chancellor informed that this type of workshop is essential for development. He is confident that other educational institutions will follow these footsteps in near future.
