Post Budget Presentation/Analysis by Management Students

The students presented statistical data and analysed those in terms of the impact of budget allocation in specific sectors& expressed their opinions about its (budget) impact on Indian economy.

The management students clarified that in a developing economy like India where there is pressing demand for development in infrastructure & other areas, there is bound to be deficit in the budget since the value of fiscal revenue generated through taxation falls much short of expected earnings due to pre-dominance of parallel economy(black money).

The audience comprising students & faculty members were intimated about the process of resource allocations in the budget vis-a-vis the requirements in different sectors. The students mentioned that the budget is framed after taking due cognizance of certain compulsions- political, international relations etc. and cannot be of 'please all' nature in a vast country like India that encompasses various religions, culture; diverse standards of living which has needs of different kinds.

The seminar hall where this budget analysis session was conducted was full to the capacity with students and faculty members of the School of Management and Commerce. The audience was involved in the process of discussion with the speakers and several relevant points were discussed in the process.
